Counseling Compact Draft Rules:
The Executive Committee has approved Draft Rules to be posted for public comment. The public comment period begins June 18, 2024, and ends on August 11, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. MT. The draft rules (legacy licensing and background checks) and information on how to provide public comment are found on the website at https://counselingcompact.org/compact-commission/rulemaking/
Per the Compact Law passed in each state, member states are required to post notice of the draft rule and public comment period on their own state website as if it were a proposed rule change in the member state.
Consideration of the public comments received and the vote on the rules will take place during the October 8, 2024, Full Commission virtual meeting.
