Emergency Licenses Issued During COVID-19 State of Emergency

Emergency licenses issued during the New Hampshire COVID-19 State of Emergency have been converted to a permanent license pursuant to Senate Bill 277 (2022). Emergency licenses will expire June 3, 2024. If you received an emergency license during the State of Emergency and would like to continue practicing in New Hampshire, you must renew this license before it expires.

If you applied for an emergency license through OPLC’s online portal:

If you applied for and received an emergency license through OPLC’s online portal, OPLC has updated its licensing portal to reflect that your emergency license is now a permanent license.
You may verify your license using the License Lookup feature here.
As part of this license conversion, OPLC was required to assign you a new license number based on your profession. Your emergency license should be visible in the License Lookup feature with a status of Active.
You will receive a renewal notification from nh.licenses@doit.nh.gov that will include your new license number.
To renew, please submit your renewal application through OPLC’s online portal, using the registration code provided to you via email.

Clinical Social Worker/Licensed Clinical Social Worker	Application (online or paper) Fee: $298 Complete 40 approved continuing education hours (Mhp 402.01) Complete 40 hours of collaboration. Mhp 403.01.
Licensed Alcohol & Drug Counselor	Application (online or paper) Fee: $128 Comply with peer collaboration requirements in Alc 408 (26 hours of peer collaboration in each 12-month period) Complete continuing education requirements (48 hours, 24 of which shall be pre-approved by the board, and 12 of which shall be specific to categories of competence), described in Alc 409.
Marriage and Family Therapist	Application (online or paper) Fee: $298 Complete 40 approved continuing education hours (Mhp 402.01) Complete 40 hours of collaboration. Mhp 403.01.
Occupational Therapist	Application (online or paper) Fee: $110 Complete 24 hours of continuing competence. Occ 406.
Pharmacist	Application (online or paper) Fee: $298 Complete 30 hours of continuing education, at least 10 of which must be earned in a live setting. Ph 403.02.
Physical Therapist	Application (online or paper) Fee: $110 Complete 24 contact hours of continuing professional education. Phy 406.01.
Physician Assistant	Application (online or paper) Fee: $203 Maintain collaboration agreement. Med 602.03.
Physician	Application (online or paper) Fee: $378 Complete 100 hours of approved continuing medical education, 40 hours of which shall be Category I, and no more than 60 hours of which shall be in Category II. Med 402.01. Submit documentation of completing continuing education requirements to OPLC via CE Broker account.
Psychologist	Application (online or paper) Fee: $328 Complete 40 approved hours of continuing education. Psyc 402.02. Complete 40 hours of collaboration. Psyc 403.
Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse	Application (online or paper) Fee: $108 Complete 30 educational contact hours, 5 of which shall be in pharmacology
Respiratory Care Practitioner	Application (online or paper Fee: $165 Maintain NBRC credentials
Speech Language Pathologist	Application (online or paper Fee: $110 Complete 30 hours of continuing education. Spe 403.02.
