Midwifery Council Vacant Board Positions (4)

The Office of Professional Licensure and Certification (OPLC) is currently looking to
fill four positions on the Midwifery Council. Two Certified Midwives, one Pediatrician
and one Obstetrician. All members of the Council shall have been residents of this
state for at least 5 years preceding appointment. Member terms are 4 years.

The eligible Certified Midwife shall have attended at least 50 deliveries as a midwife.

The eligible Pediatrician shall be licensed to practice medicine under RSA 329 with
experience in working with Certified Midwives pursuant to this chapter.

The eligible Obstetrician shall be licensed to practice medicine under RSA 329 with
experience in working with Certified Midwives pursuant to this chapter.

Council members attend meetings at OPLC office and utilize their expertise to make
recommendations on rules, requirements, licensing applications, renewals, and
complaints. Council members also attend adjudicative hearings on disciplinary
matters and make recommendations as needed.
